For what It's worth, I think It's the sound options which are causing the problem. Whenever the opening options give you a numbered choice, choose No.1.that's all there Is to It! It means, of course, that you have to play without sounds but, on a game of this type, It really makes no difference! (I normally listen to my fave music through my headphones when playing these kind of games, anyway, as I'm sure most retro-gamers do!). The solution will appear a bit strange, I can understand that - but It solves the problem! Trust this old git! The screen showed C:\CIV, and It wouldn't accept any input, so I was left with a useless DOS screen. ![]() ![]() For me, the game kept reverting to a DOS screen before It was fully loaded. I had problems at first and If you are having them too, this may help. Works perfectly well when I play online through my PC. ![]()
